Green Err… Purple Eco-egg By Cadbury

Cadbury has just launched its new eco product, the eco Easter egg. The really eco part of these new Easter eggs are that they will only be wrapped in foil and also without any cardboards.

This move will help to reduce the amount of plastic use by 75% and cardboard by 65%. Cadbury also claimed that this will help to save more than 2000 trees.

Cadbury expects to produce about 1.5million eco eggs this year which is only about 5% of the total Easter eggs sold by Cadbury last year.

Although this 5% seems quite insignificant, it is a good start nevertheless. It is a sign that companies are starting to move towards producing more eco-friendly products. We hope that more companies will follow suit and make more eco-friendly products available in the market.
